The Blogger Affiliate job is a blogging ad revenue and affiliate program contract as opposed to full-time employment. Read the GP Terms page for the conditions your agreeing to by using this site. Blogger Affiliates are essentially independent contractors. Students are encouraged to treat the Blogger Affiliate job as they would a seasonal internship opportunity.

The windows to start the Blogger Affiliate job are Summer (June - August), Fall (September - November), Winter (December - February), and Spring (March - May). Blogger Affiliates may start the Blogger Affiliate job during any month of a season but are encouraged to start at the beginning of a season to get the most out of the experience. Blogger Affiliates should also keep personal copies of all blog posts submitted to GP because blog posts may be deleted from GP at the end of a season. In the Blogger Affiliate job getting paid depends on blogging ad revenue performance in addition to a proportional affiliate bonus of overall GP Environmental Program Membership, GP Services, and/or *Eco-friendly* and Discount Seasonal Products with the GP Eco-friendly Search Engine sales.

Do you want to increase your earning potential for your blog posts? If so, read below. Don’t forget to create green profiles ("short tagged articles") to promote your blog posts on GP's frontpage. In addition to the recommendations below, green profiles may increase traffic to your blog posts.

Ten Marketing Ideas for Increasing Traffic to your Blog:

1) Get a social networking presence- Social Networks such as Facebook and LinkedIn have grown exponentially. If you can tap into this growth and redirect some of their traffic to your blog, it can only do positive things.

2) Searching Engine Marketing- Bid on relevant keywords and topics with programs such as Google Ads or Microsoft Ads to gain a higher rank on their sponsored listings.

3) Search Engine Optimization- Make the layout/design and relevant keywords for your blog search engine friendly so that the site gains a higher rank on natural organic searches.

4) Create an affiliate program- Create opportunities for other webmasters and bloggers to drive traffic to your blog in return for nominal compensation.

5) Free stuff- Give away something of value for free.

6) Promotional Contest- Set up contests, games, trivia challenges, etc. to keep people entertained and give them incentives to participate.

7) Create a widget- A small gadget with the hottest topics that could be spread virally through the internet.

8) List your blogs in blog directories- Many blog communities have arisen with lots of members. Having your blogs listed here will make it easier for other bloggers to find your content through routine searches.

9) Syndicate content to other sites- Many publishers are looking for additional content to add depth to their site. Selling some of your content to them would increase your web presence and thus is a practical marketing tool.

10) Blog Forum Representative- Have designated representatives (yourself?) who go to other blogs or forums and participate in discussions related to topics you cover on your blog. Once people see that your people (you?) have knowledge and experience, they will look back to where your representatives (you?) came from, namely your blog.
