The Columbia River Wetland Mitigation Bank is the first certified wetlands mitigation bank for Clark County, Washington. It will be located on 154 acres of the former Rufener Dairy. The service area includes the Bonneville Dam and Longview.

Project Impact: 
The wetlands mitigation bank will filter drinking water, hold flood waters, recharge underground water tables, and provide fish and wildlife habitat. Each wetlands mitigation credit will be priced at $190,000 and represent the restoration of approximately 3 acres of wetlands. These credits will offset the impact of development from high-speed rail projects, highway projects, power line rights-of-way, and other infrastructure.
